Science

Science at The Lionheart School is exciting which encourages students to learn about themselves and the world around them.

Students study key ideas in chemistry, physics, and biology through practical and theory work, helping students to build their confidence, skills, and knowledge.

At KS3, students study the AQA Activate scheme of work from Kerboodle, which offers appropriate preparation for the GCSE course.  They also complete a variety of projects, which have included 3D design, building marble rollercoasters, and measuring the pollution levels of water from sites across the Island.

We offer GCSE’s in AQA combined science (Trilogy), as well as the separate sciences at KS4.  This enables students can move on to careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.   We also offer AQA Entry level science.  Lionheart students also learn how to be healthy, and how to think critically about areas of science which are evolving in modern life.
