Art

Art and Design provide positive outcomes for students both academically and emotionally. The programme is designed to inspire our learners, using creativity to help students re-engage with learning, develop confidence, and raise self-esteem.

The diverse programme of study allows projects to be personalised helping students to recognise their potential. Students are encouraged to work to a high standard on multi-faceted projects that promote success and develop transferable skills.

In KS3 students build skills to generate, investigate and develop ideas underpinned by AQA Unit awards.

In KS4 there are courses in BTEC L1 Introduction to Art and Design and GCSE Fine Art delivered via the awarding body AQA.
Additionally our Creative Projects programme provides students the
opportunities to work with creative professionals and industries to produce
quality work whilst making a positive contribution to the community.
